The RiskProfile is the structured intake at the center of RiskAdvisor. You collect a client's risk details one time, in a clean and consistent format. From there the same data feeds enrichment, UnderwritingAI eligibility, your rater, your CRM, and your proposals. Your team does not re-key it.
You control how the form looks, which questions appear, and where the finished profile goes.
Create a RiskProfile
Open the Client you want to quote, or create a new Client.
Click Create RiskProfile.
Select the Line(s) of Business to include. Home and Auto are standard. Add Umbrella or others as needed.
Work through the guided intake. Enter what you have. Data pulls and prefill fill in the rest automatically where available.
Review the profile on the Review & Send page, then send it to your rater, broker, or team.
π‘ Recommendation: Enter the address early. Property and auto data prefill run off it, so the sooner it is in, the more of the form fills itself.
π If you save with required fields missing, a Whoops banner lists each error. Click any error to jump straight to that field. Fixing the field clears that error on its own, with no need to save again first.
Customize your RiskProfile form
You customize the intake in the Form Builder, under Settings β Form Settings. Changes apply to new submissions right away. Previously completed profiles are not affected.
The form is built in levels: the Form (Home, Auto, Umbrella), Sections within it such as Discounts or Exposures, and the individual Fields. You work at the field level.
For any question you can set:
Visibility. Show or hide the question.
Required. Make it mandatory. A required question is forced Visible.
Label. Rename how the question reads to your team. The underlying data field and all integration mappings stay the same.
Default value. Pre-fill a set answer.
Order. Drag questions to reorder them within a section. [BETA FEATURE]
Add a custom question [BETA FEATURE]
Go to Settings β Form Settings.
Select the section where the question belongs.
Click Add Question.
Choose a field type: Text, Number, Email, Phone, Dropdown, Money, Date, Yes/No, Textarea, Checkbox, or Percent.
Enter the label and set visibility, required status, and any default value.
For Dropdown or Checkbox, add answer options with + Add Option.
Click Save Field. The question goes live immediately.
β οΈ Warning: You cannot change a field type after it is created. A Text field cannot become a Dropdown later. Pick the type before you save. If you need to delete a field to create a new one you can.
Delete a custom question
You can remove a question your own team created from Settings β Form Settings. Click the delete control on that question's row and confirm. Built-in system questions and questions created by other teams cannot be deleted. To take a system question off the form, set it to Not Visible instead.
Deleting removes the question going forward. Completed RiskProfiles and PDFs made before the change are not affected.
Rules that keep the form working
Required means visible. You cannot hide a required question.
Integration-locked questions. Some fields are required by partners like AgencyZoom or EZLynx. Their toggles are greyed out. Hover to see which integration requires them.
Parent and child questions. If you hide a parent question, its child questions must be hidden too. A child can be required even when its parent is not.
UnderwritingAI. Hiding a field also removes it from UnderwritingAI evaluation until it is visible again.
Repeating sections
Some lines collect the same set of details more than once, such as multiple drivers or vehicles. These are handled as repeater groups. Your team fills the set once and repeats it as needed.
Home RCE Details default
You can set whether the RCE Details section starts open or closed on a Home RiskProfile. Go to Settings β Form Settings β Home β RCE Details β Default Section Status, choose Open or Closed, and save. If no value is saved, RiskAdvisor uses Closed. This is a team-level setting.
Sensitive data: Social Security Numbers
You can store an SSN for the client and co-applicant on the RiskProfile. It is stored encrypted and shown masked. To view or edit it, re-enter your password. Access lasts 15 minutes per entry, and a viewed SSN auto-hides after 60 seconds.
SSNs never appear in exports or PDFs and are excluded from all integration payloads at this time. We are reviewing the ability to add these securely.
Send a RiskProfile
You can send a profile from two places.
From the RiskProfile card
Open the Client.
Click the RiskProfiles tab.
Click the β«Ά menu on the profile.
Click Send To. Draft profiles and profiles not yet sent to a rater can be sent this way.
From the Review & Send page
On Review & Send you can send to your Virtual Assistant, your Brokers, or your Rater, based on how your account is set up.
Send one line at a time
If you run one rater for Home and another for Auto, you do not have to send both together. On the rater selection, change Both to Home or Auto to send that line on its own. This is available for EZLynx, PL Rating, and QuoteRUSH.
Create a renewal
Renewals reuse an existing profile so your team does not start over. This is also the fastest way to edit an existing RiskProfile.
Open the Client, click the Risk Profiles tab, click the β«Ά menu, and select Create Renewal. Confirm on the pop-up.
Review and update the profile. Focus on Discounts, Exposures, Updates, and Coverage Details.
On Review & Send, set Type of Business to Renewal/Rewrite.
Send to your Virtual Assistant, Brokers, or Rater (EZLynx, QuoteRush, or PL Rating) based on your setup.
Review attachments. Files on the original profile carry over to the renewal automatically.
Give your team access
A Virtual Assistant does not have to be an outside VA. It can be anyone you designate to receive quote requests for data entry. To add one, complete the onboarding form with your agency information, your VA's information, your rater, and your carriers. You then review the quote-request email template and adjust it to your workflow.
Ask your VA to add no-reply@riskadvisor.insure as a safe sender so they receive quote requests.
Best practices
Enter the address first so property and auto prefill can run before you touch the rest of the form.
Build your form once, up front. Set labels, visibility, and required fields in Form Settings so every producer collects the same clean data.
Use renewals to edit. Creating a renewal is the cleanest way to rework an existing profile without retyping it.
